Google Chrome finally exceeds Internet Explorer

There it is, the long awaited moment of the Internets just happened: Google Chrome surpassed Internet Explorer, that is to say, Microsoft in terms of market share. On mobile, the question arises not because Chrome has always been ahead of its competitor.

The Net Market Share Site conducts market share analyzes, both browsers used, but also the operating and search engine systems. In April 2016, Google Chrome was used by 41.71% of Internet users against 41.33% for Internet Explorer. The difference is minimal, but it is indeed the first time Google's browser passes that of Microsoft on figures from Net Market Share. Gone are the days when Internet Explorer accounted for over 90% market share!

Methodology

The figures are to be taken lightly as they do not represent the entire Internet. The company, however, based on data from 40,000 sites worldwide totaling 160 million unique visitors per month and therefore gives an overview of trends. And see the curves, it is absolutely certain that Chrome is already or will be used by more users than Internet Explorer.
